I’ve taught English (ELL, ESL, EFL) to adults, university students, and middle- and high-school students, both in the United States and as a Fulbright exchange teacher in Germany. I currently teach adult English language learners in a community-based program I co-founded and now coordinate as a volunteer. The textbooks True Stories Behind the Songs and More True Stories Behind the Songs are part of the True Stories reading series, all published by Pearson. My books evolved from materials I prepared for my own students, and I continue to develop and pilot new material in my classroom, including the lessons on this site.
